The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) will celebrate with its members and associate partners in a special Awards program at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, in conjunction with Coverings 2013. Immediately after the show closes its exhibit hall, the NTCA will hold its first annual awards event, honoring its annual Tile Person of the Year and the Joe A. Tarver Lifetime achievement award for service to the industry. In addition, the Tile Council of North America will recognize their TilePerson of the Year, and for the first time ever, the NTCA will recognize its Five Contractor Members with the Grand Prize for Commercial and Residential Projects. Each recipient will receive $2,500 for installation excellence.
Lieutenant General John F. Sattler, who previously was the commanding general of the First Expeditionary Forces Central Command (2004-2006), and who commanded all forces in Al Anbar Provence in Iraq from September 2004-March 2005, will be the master of ceremonies for the Awards Program, and will give a short talk on leadership. General Sattler will also be speaking that day at Coverings in a Featured Session open to all show attendees.
