Demonstrating the versatility and beauty of Italian tile, the following trends summarize this season’s top trends in color, design and application.
With a new year comes new color prediction trends that can dictate everything from interior decor to fashion and technology. But these color trends represent much more than that, giving us a lens into the feelings that resonate most with society today. For example, the 2022 colors of the year were byproducts of the pandemic and our increasing need to get out of the house and reconnect with nature, a trend known as biophilia. As a result, 2022 saw many earth tones and designs that remind us of the outdoors.
This year’s edition of Cersaie proved to be a pivotal one. On top of the show celebrating its 40th anniversary and the milestones the industry has achieved along the way, exhibitors also signaled the dawn of an exciting new era. Tile products were imbued with a holistic sense of inventiveness: color and pattern were bolstered by impressive surface technologies from extra soft finishes with high slip resistance to glossy, matte effects.

Penn Station, long removed from its glory days in the first half of the 20th century, had become notorious for all the wrong reasons.
