**Deadlines Extended to Friday, January 6**
Coverings is now accepting 2023 submissions for two of its incredible awards programs! Submit your top projects to the 2023 Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards or nominate a young emerging leader to be a Coverings 2023 Rock Star by the new deadline of Friday, January 6. As always, multiple submissions are accepted and encouraged and there is no cost to enter either program.
Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards
The CID Awards celebrates outstanding achievements in the design and installation of ceramic tile and stone in residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Architects, designers, builders, contractors, distributors, retailers, installers, and other industry professionals may submit their projects through the CID project submittal portal by Friday, January 6.
Projects will be judged and awarded based on eight categorical designations: Residential Ceramic Tile Installation, Residential Ceramic Tile Design, Residential Stone Installation, Residential Stone Design, Commercial Ceramic Tile Installation, Commercial Ceramic Tile Design, Commercial Stone Installation, and Commercial Stone Design.
CID Award winners will be chosen by a vetted panel of judges who will assess each project on creativity, craftsmanship, and use of materials. International projects may be submitted, and all projects must have been completed between January 2021 and December 2022 for review eligibility. Winning projects will be recognized onsite at Coverings 2023 as well as in various publications and on Coverings’ website, blog, and social media channels. Winners will also receive a complimentary one-night stay or an equivalent gift card at Coverings 2023 and recognition at the CID Awards Reception during the show.
Coverings Rock Star Awards
The Coverings 2023 Rock Star program recognizes young, talented professionals in the tile & stone industry. Nominations must be submitted by the new deadline of January 6 via the Coverings Rock Stars nomination portal. The program underscores Coverings’ ongoing mission to support the growth and success of the industry by recognizing top-notch talent and fostering networking and educational opportunities.
Eligible nominees must be 35 years of age or younger and employed within one of the following professions: Architect, designer, distributor, retailer, contractor/installer, fabricator, specifier, trade association, or manufacturer. Nominees will be judged by a committee of industry leaders who will assess experience levels; professional certifications or affiliations; previous awards or accolades; prior speaking engagements at industry events; quantity of published works; impact in the tile and stone industry; and traits that set them apart as emerging leaders in the industry.
Winners of the Coverings 2023 Rock Star Awards will be honored onsite at Coverings 2023, included in a Coverings 2023 press release distributed to dozens of industries and consumer media outlets, and recognized on Coverings’ website, blog, and social media channels.
