Coverings Lounge
Stunning mosaic tile projects will be unveiled by Luna Mosaic Arts and the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) in the Coverings Lounge, located in the North Hall Lobby of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Luna Mosaic Arts will create a 10’x10’ to 10’x20’ tile mosaic onsite during Coverings, with additional mosaic projects on display. The NTCA will present a live broadcast demonstration of designing, building and installing a mosaic tile project, highlighting the historical importance of tile installation as an artisan craft.
Society of American Mosaic Artists Exhibits
Coverings is partnering with the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) to showcase two inspirational exhibits in the OCCC’s North Hall Lobby. One of the exhibits, “One Hundred Moments in Mosaics,” will showcase a non-juried collection of work representing SAMA’s diverse membership of seasoned professionals and newcomers to the mosaic-making process, culminating in more than 100 moments of life rendered in mosaic design by artists from around the world.
SAMA’s “Mosaic Arts International (MAI)” exhibit will reflect the multiplicity of the mosaic medium and its endless applications. The MAI exhibition series is comprised of separate juried exhibits featuring the best in contemporary fine art, architectural, community, and site-specific mosaics from SAMA’s international membership.
Co-Location With the National Wood Flooring Association
Coverings 2021 and NWFA’s 2021 Wood Flooring Expo, for the first time, will be co-located at the OCCC, July 7-9. Coverings 2021 will be held in the OCCC’s North Hall, and NWFA’s Wood Flooring Expo will be held in the South Hall. Attendees who register for either event will have access to both exhibit halls.

Coverings 2021 will feature a time-optimized schedule this year allowing show-goers the ability to maximize their experiences each day. The 2021 show floor hours are:
Wednesday, July 7: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Thursday, July 8: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, July 9: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
