As Coverings 2025 prepares to mark its 35th edition in Orlando, FL, the excitement is building for what promises to be another dynamic celebration of surface materials, design innovation, and international connection. As a global leader in ceramic and porcelain tile innovation, Ceramics of Italy is thrilled to bring its signature blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and authentic Italian flair back to the show floor this year, featuring over 80 of Italy’s premier ceramic tile manufacturers across the Italian Pavilion. Organized by Confindustria Ceramica (the Association of Italian Ceramics), the Italian Pavilion will be a vibrant destination for visitors eager to explore high-performance tile products that seamlessly blend sustainability, cutting-edge design, and advanced technology, and will be located in the South Hall of the Orange County Convention Center.
Experience the Italian Pavilion
At the heart of the Italian Pavilion is Ceramics of Italy’s signature booth “Giardino all’italiana” (#1225), designed by global architecture firm HDR. Inspired by the timeless elegance of Italian gardens, this thoughtfully curated space will serve as a welcoming hub for design professionals to gather, network, and experience the beauty and versatility of Italian ceramics in action.
Visitors can enjoy gourmet coffee and pastries courtesy of Miami-based caterer Spuntino, while exploring the booth’s sustainable, modular design featuring tiles from some of Italy’s most esteemed brands – including Appiani, Ceramica Vogue, Cotto d’Este, La Fabbrica, Lea Ceramiche, Mirage, Naxos, and Fila Surface Care Solutions. From floors and furniture to striking architectural features, the booth offers a stunning demonstration of Italian tile’s versatility.

Sustainability in the Spotlight: “I Choose Responsibility”
Coverings attendees will also get a first-hand look at Ceramics of Italy’s latest campaign, “I Choose Responsibility,” a powerful initiative that promotes the conscious, sustainable practices adopted by Italian tile manufacturers. Through a series of visually engaging videos and materials, the campaign delves into themes such as energy efficiency, embodied carbon, circular economy, green building, and social responsibility, encouraging architects, designers, and developers to make informed, impactful material choices.
Visitors can also learn more about “Destination: Cersaie,” a longstanding Ceramics of Italy program that invites North American architect and design professionals to apply to attend CERSAIE – the international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings – with a VIP North American delegation in Bologna, Italy from September 22–26, 2025.
What’s Trending: Tile Innovations to Watch
The Italian Pavilion will be a rich source of inspiration, offering a glimpse into the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of tile design. This year, keep an eye out for water-inspired hues, handmade aesthetics, fluted and ribbed surfaces, and modern terrazzo interpretations. Brands are also continuing to push the boundaries of functionality with antibacterial surfaces, integrated induction cooktops, and prefabricated ceramic furnishings for kitchens and baths. Outdoor living remains a key focus, with manufacturers showcasing advanced porcelain pavers, pool coping pieces, and pedestal systems designed to create seamless indoor-outdoor transitions. Sustainability certifications, including EPD, LEED, Greenguard, and B Corp status, are increasingly common among these offerings, signaling the industry’s growing commitment to environmentally-conscious design.
