At Coverings, we believe in the power of giving back to the communities that support us. As we ring in 2025, we want to introduce you to the six deserving organizations in this year’s Coverings Cares program. Through our Coverings Cares initiative, we are dedicated to promoting the advancement of the tile, stone, and design industries while also contributing to the local communities in which we operate.

Created in 1996, CTEF is an educational institution that offers accessible training programs for installers, construction professionals, architects, designers, and sales associates interested in the sale and installation of ceramic tile. As the foremost provider of installer certification programs, CTEF offers local, regional, and national programs and is trusted by both industry and consumers alike.

CTEF’s 9,000-square-foot training center was designed to meet the growing demand for ceramic tile and hands-on installation courses.
DIFFA’s mission is to provide funding to organizations that support individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, food insecurity, and mental health challenges. Their mission also assists the unhoused and offers healthcare access for underserved communities nationwide.

A donation to DIFFA ensures that grant money goes to organizations where it can make the most impact on those living with HIV/AIDS. Their Grants Committee members personally inspect AIDS service organizations, judge fiscal responsibility, and measure program effectiveness on behalf of our donors.
The Gary Sinise Foundation serves America’s defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. Their unique programs provide various types of support, including specially adapted homes for wounded heroes, resiliency support, community education, and first responders outreach. These programs are designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities for these heroes.

To date, the Gary Sinise Foundation has modified or retrofitted 117 homes for defenders in need.
More than 5,000 homeless dogs and cats will turn to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando each year for caring, compassion and hope. The Pet Alliance provides food, medical care and shelter for dogs and cats until they find their forever homes and has a live release rate of 99%.

Thanks to generous community support, more than 75,000 dogs and cats in their care have been able to find loving homes since 2013.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida collects, stores, and distributes donated food to more than 750 feeding partners in Central Florida counties. Last year, they distributed enough food for 78 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women’s shelters, senior centers, day care centers and Kids Cafes.

Founded in 1987, the Tile Heritage Foundation promotes awareness and appreciation of ceramic surfaces in the United States. In addition to educating the public about the rich history of tile, it also serves as a significant voice for preserving existing installations of rare and unusual ceramic surfaces. The Foundation believes safekeeping ceramic surfaces today is integral to preserving history for future generations.
