For our 25th Anniversary, Coverings has pulled out all the stops to bring you the most remarkable conference program to date.
With more than80 sessions presented by 100 speakers addressing a broad and diverse group of topics at this year’s show, there will be plenty to see and do. We’re especially excited to highlight our four Keynote Speakers. Eric Astrachan, Robert Bacon, Lauren Rottet and Sheldon Yellen are top innovators and influencers in their respective specialties and their sessions are a must-see for all Coverings 2014 Attendees.
Eric Astrachan with the Tile Council of North America will discuss “Hot Issues in Tile Standards and Design” on Tuesday, April 29 at 12:30 p.m. Always a favorite, Mr. Astrachan will examine what is and isn’t working for thin tiles along with design trends ranging from ventilated facades to high-definition digital printing.
Daltile’s Robert Bacon will explore “Natural Stone & Green Design” on Tuesday, April 29 at 3 p.m. The session will share how the stone industry continues to reduce environmental impacts through technology advancements and responsible manufacturing and shipping processes.
Lauren Rottet, one of the most celebrated interior architects today, will present on her work with some of the nation’s most highly awarded hotels and offices on Wednesday, April 30 at 12 p.m. The projects designed by Rottet Studio showcase creative use of materials including, of course, tile + stone. The seminar is titled “Rottet Style with Stone and Tile,” and is sponsored by Contract Magazine.
Sheldon Yellen, will present “Breaking Through Barriers by Putting People First” on Tuesday, April 29 at 9 a.m. The business guru, who is the CEO of Belfor and was featured on Undercover Boss, will discuss how he took a $5 million company to a $1.5 billion global leader by putting people first.
