With Coverings 2024 right around the corner, the Italian ceramics industry is gearing up for another exciting year of product debuts, networking, and education with the rest of the tile-loving community in North America. On top of all this, Ceramics of Italy is thrilled to bring a special activation – Postcards from Cersaie – to the show floor, providing attendees with an even larger slice of Italy during their time in Atlanta!
Located at the forefront of the Italian Pavilion in Hall B – Booth #3821, visitors will be transported to the historic streetscapes of Bologna, Italy through an interactive installation designed by Fashion Institute of Technology graduate students, with mentorship from esteemed architecture firm HDR. Featuring a curated, photographic display framed within a series of portico-inspired structures to showcase the architectural charm of the city, the installation will function as a dedicated space where attendees can learn more about Cersaie – the premier exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings held annually in Bologna – taking place from September 23-27, 2024.
To celebrate the enduring spirit of the show, the exhibit will include a series of ready-to-mail postcards, generated from photographs taken by Cersaie attendees from the past 40 years. Attendees are encouraged to send a postcard right from the booth to someone they’d like to visit with, while snapping picture in front of the city’s iconic portici to share on social with #PostcardsFromCersaie!
During their time at the exhibit, architects, designers and distributors can also learn more about Ceramics of Italy’s DESTINATION: CERSAIE program. Organized by Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Agency, the annual initiative offers North American specifiers the chance to win a five-day, CEU-accredited trip to Bologna to attend Cersaie alongside a delegation of leading industry journalists and professionals. Selected winners will be taken on a guided tour of the show to see the latest collections, trends, and innovations in Italian ceramic design, while being treated to local cultural experiences in and around the city.
