What’s new in tile and stone…
ABK Group (Booth 4811) is heading to Coverings with its Dolphin collection, which features exclusive new technology, AUTO-LEVELING®, that will revolutionize the ceramic floor coverings category. The very flexible, porcelain panels are designed to facilitate installation, eliminating the need for leveling spacers, or even joints and glue when used with the new INSTA-TILE dry system. The high plasticity of the panels causes them to automatically level under their own weight when placed. Available in 16”x70”, 8”x60” and 8”x48” sizes, these can be used in any installation pattern. Made of 40% recycled materials, AUTO-LEVELING® products provide an eco-friendly, easy-to-use, cutting-edge flooring installation solution.
BonTon Designs (Booth 3607) will take the wraps off Arbor, designed to look like hand-crafted cuts of wood. The new collection takes cues from the popular “Rustic Luxe” design trend, and is great solution for kitchens, baths, fireplace surrounds, and more. The collection is available in 40 glaze options.
Ceramica Fondovalle (Booth 4803) will impress with Toka, noted for its expression of style and nature in four colors. Brick and Ground use warm shades to fill spaces with reassuring and cozy atmospheres, while Cliff and Tar are characterized by natural colors that decorate spaces with elegant simplicity. With the 32”x32”, 16”x32” and 16”x16” formats and a rich and precious surface material, Toka is the ideal solution for indoor and outdoor residential environments.
Ceramiche Ascot (Booth 4808) is bringing Game of Fifteen, a new tile series dedicated to the work of 15 contemporary artists. The first Game of Fifteen collection is focused on pop art master, Keith Haring. The ceramic wall tiles are available in three sizes (8”x8”, 8”x24”, and 32”x32”) and two finishes (matte and lux) with 13 individual patterns and one larger composition.
Cevica, S.L. (Booth 1911) touts its Feelings & Sensations range, which has been created in the Antic 3”x6” format and combines with the Antic, Antic Craquele and Antic Special series. The new range is composed of two embossed designs and 4 patterns. Feelings is the quiet and soft design that imitates lace. Sensations shows a design with a dynamic geometric pattern, but without losing an artisan character. Both designs are offered in 14 colors.
Coem (Booth 4011) features its Ardesia Mix collection, which takes an interesting approach to stone-effect porcelain stoneware: the tiles are cohesive in color, yet eclectic in texture and shade. This use of a natural-look material, in conjunction with an artistic design style creates a look that is both decorative and refined. These tiles also come in two finishes, three colors, and varying sizes/shapes (30”x30”, 24”x24”, 15”x30”, 12”x24”, 7.5”x30”), that can be mixed to create different patterns.
Cooperativa Ceramica D’Imola (Booth 5006) spotlights its eye-catching Pop collection, which features a Lichtenstein-inspired color palette. The decorative Pop Art tiles follow the story of an undercover agent and a criminal she is tailing. Available in both flat and textured glossy finishes, Pop is suitable for wall applications.
Crossville (Booth 3818) will introduce the Moonstruck Porcelain Tile Collection, a rectified tile available in large format and two finishes. Inspired by linear striations of the lunar variety, Moonstruck has expansive veining that creates a grand counterpoint to the line’s palette of five warm and cool neutrals. Suitable for commercial and residential use, the line is made in the USA with minimum 4% recycled content.
Diamond Tech Tiles (Booth 3808) presents COUNTRYSIDE Slate Series, which melds an array of neutral colors, including steel grey, desert gold and black. Accented with frosted glass tiles and artistic listellos, the new slate tile will step up the style in both rustic and contemporary designs.
Fap Ceramiche (Booth 4208) will show Firenze, which melds minimalist style with vintage appeal. Inspired by Tuscan farmhouses, old decorated floors and time-worn plaster, the hexagonal porcelain floors are available in six solid colors (ranging from greys to browns) and a decorative rhombic pattern in a beige and grey colorway.
Gayafores (Booth 2114) will shine the spotlight on LUMBER, slender wooden tiles that are available in black and white—the colors offer clean, minimalist and elegant looks for today’s environments.
Grespania S.A. (Booth 2423) presents its Urbión series of porcelain tiles, which is based on the very simple premise of bringing all the richness and contrast of slate to ceramic design. Its design features differently textured slabs to create a whole that reflects all the strength and life of stone.
Halcón Ceramicas (Booth 1605) debuts Kiribati, which features a spectacular wood pattern in relief. The stunning tile is available in 9”x37” planks in a variety of natural colors.
Interceramic (Booth 3200) reinvents the subtle veining and natural color found in marble with its high-density ceramic Monptellier. The soft transition of colors throughout the tile creates a feeling of soothing tranquility, elevating any design to a new level. Montpellier can be used in both residential and commercial installations.
La Fabbrica (Booth 4600) reinterprets beauty and sinuous veining of agate onto porcelain stoneware with Astra. The tiles are available in four sizes (24×24”, 12×24”, 8”x24”, and 8”x8”) and five colors (amber, pearl, turquoise, jade, and selenite) with a honed finish for floors and walls.
Lea Ceramiche (Booth 4218) will showcase Pixel, developed by the product design team at HOK. The newest addition to the company’s Slimtech line of thin, laminated porcelain stoneware, the product is interesting for its thin (5.5mm) profile and vibrant color palette. Pixel is a field of color, a blend of shades, born of Italy’s landscapes and nature: coastal, highlights and pastoral. The product is available in sizes up to 1mx3m, for interior and exterior applications.
Magna Tiles (Azuvi) (Booth 1609) will showcase versatility with Exotic, stunning stone imitation tiles in cream hues. Suitable for both walls and floors, Exotic provides a beautiful focal point no matter where it’s installed.
Natucer (Booth 2108) features Boston, which combines urban and industrial with an artisanal look—irregular borders, worn appearance, and variance in shades.
Novogres (Booth 2240) will impress attendees with Avon. Available in 35”x70” and 60”x60”, the porcelain tile will trick the eye into thinking it is seeing natural marble. The tiles can be used for both the floor and wall surfaces.
Saloni (Booth 2023) debuts its SUNSET series, made up by a huge variety of large format pieces. The tiles offer relief and texture to the walls, becoming sophisticated decorative elements for any space.
Sicis (Booth 4016) will dazzle with Fiber, the latest Sicis collection whose tesserae come in different formats and materials, ranging from squares to thin, linear shapes, for a very elegant, geometric “waterfall” effect. Materials range in glass and mirrored glass to marble, platinum and gold tesserae.
Zirconio (Booth 1618) will wow with SV Stone, porcelain tile that is named after San Vicenç de Castellet, a picturesque town in the Catalan hills above Barcelona and famous for a stone found in the surrounding area known as “Piedra de San Vicente.” The neutral tones of light grey, cream, brown and dark grey enhance the originality of the stone. SV Stone is available in a variety of sizes.
What’s new in tools and installation materials…
Bostik (Booth 3843) rolls out Dimension RapidCure glass-filled, pre-mixed, urethane grout. Dimension RapidCure is water-based, and contains a translucent binder that both reflects light as well as allows it to pass through. This creates a variety of aesthetic effects in virtually all tile options available today. It may add an elegant sparkle or blend naturally with natural tile and stone, while also creating a three dimensional effect within clear glass tile installations.
Laser Products Industries (Booth 1893) will showcase LT-2D3D Laser Templator, the latest in the company’s portfolio of templating innovations. The LT2D3D allows its user to create completed DXF/DWG/ORD files that are ready for fabrication in both 2D and 3D, whichever the user prefers. The handy solution means that users can have completed drawings on-site within a matter of minutes.
Dependable, LLC (Booth 2639) launches KeedeRoll 300, a dependable uncoupling mat that provides a fast, durable and cost-effective solution for tile installation. KeedeRoll 300’s technology works by absorbing subfloor movements and reinforcing mortar. Its fabric allows for shearing movement to take place by separating the subfloor from the tile or natural stone. KeedeRoll 300 is an ideal product for plywood substrates providing both reinforcement and water protection.
Diamond Tools International, Inc. (Booth 4594) presents the Radio Active Bridge Saw Blade, which provides a clean and precise cut with every pass, even in the toughest environments and through the hardest materials. Optimum diamond exposure allows for cutting all materials from natural stone to engineered stone.
Russo Trading Company (Booth 3836) unveils the Great White Portable Tile Saw, noted for being light in weight, and for controlling the water spray and loud noise that most typical wet saws in its class produce.
